The Mampong Water Supply Project in Ghana

The President of ‘The Republic of Ghana’ Mr. John Dramani Mahama recently inaugurated the ‘Mampong Water Supply Project’ in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The $ 21.6 million project was funded with a concessionary loan from the Exim Bank with a grant element of 35 per cent. The project aims at increasing water supply in Damang, Daano, Bosofour, Besease, Kyeremfaso and Krobo, Mpenya, Dadease, Bonkrom, Nsuta and Beposo was undertaken by UEM Inc. in September 2011.

Toshiba to join hands with UEM India Pvt. Ltd in Water and Waste Water Management Business

Toshiba Corporation (“Toshiba”) has agreed to acquire a strategic stake in UEM India Private Limited. UEM was founded by Krishan Kshetry, who has decades of international experience in waste water management. India Value Fund Advisors (IVFA) acquired a majority stake in UEM in July 2010. Following the investment, IVFA will continue to own a majority stake in the venture. Toshiba’s entire investment will be infused into the business to drive future growth.

Mini-seminar: Introduction to Developing an Anaerobic Digester on Dairy Farms

Food waste recycling is an issue that has gained a great deal of importance in the recent years. In fact the success story of Joneslan Farm has proved that dairy farms which are investing in Anaerobic Digesters (AD) stand to gain a lot.
